Tyranny of Nanny

The State continues act in outrageous and unconstitutional fashion.

This story of an 8 year old boy snatched from his parents, mistreated in "State care" and held incommunicado from his family for a week is another chilling example of statist terror.

The governmental philosophy that it can do whatever it likes without substantiation and without accountability is a harbinger of the "hope and change" promoted by the collectivist legions of Barack Obama.

When will Americans rein in their elitist socialistic governmental masters? Not until the malls close and America's Top Model are over I suspect.

A Justice is Blind

Kudos to SCOTUS for getting it (mostly) right on the DC Gun ban ruling it issued today. Unfortunately it also illustrated that, rather than justice being blind, some of our SCOTUS Justices are blind. When it comes to reading the Constitution's second ammendment statement, the right to KEEP and BEAR arms shall not be infringed, that isn't clear to some of the robed rulers.

Justice Breyer said, "In my view, there simply is no untouchable
constitutional right guaranteed by the Second Amendment to keep loaded
handguns in the house in crime-ridden urban areas."

Given the clear and concise wording illustrated above his "view" seems to be blind.

Justice Stevens opined that the ruling,
"would have us believe that over 200 years ago,
the Framers made a choice to limit the tools available to elected
officials wishing to regulate civilian uses of weapons."

Justice Stevens seems to not know that to "regulate" is an "infringement"

It is clear that the leftist/collectivist Justices of our unelected rulership don't care about or haven't read the documents on which they are asked to rule. Their "view" is more valid than the text.

As we slither into slavery to the state, here is an illustration of one of the available methodologies the collectivist statists may use. Thank goodness for some originalist, constitutionalist Justices.

Someone Gets it

It is nice to see a State demonstrate its understanding of the Federal nature of U.S. government. Oklahoma is standing up for the actual fact of federal enumerated powers under the Constitution. Let's educate and activate more of citizenry of more of the sovereign States to this fact.

They WANT your gas expensive

The environmentalist collectivists want your gasoline expensive. They bend over backwards to thwart oil exploration and exploitation as well as expanding refining capacity. As the Junk Science guys show in their Fox News Column the green socialists do everything they can to make sure YOU don't get reasonable prices and supplies of gasoline.

Old time religion?

Barack Obama's half brother is claiming that the Senator was "raised as a Muslim".

Does it matter? Should it matter? It only matters to us in the context of Obama's statements that he has "always" been a Christian. In the U.S. there is no religious test for running for or holding office. As it should be. The only concern to us would be if Obama has been untruthful in his statements about his faith background.

One thing to keep in mind though. Obama has voted, spoken and represented a socialist/collectivist political agenda since he has been in public life. Believe us, there is nothing more divergent from marxist oriented politics than the tenets of Islam. The only thing they have in common is there requirement for authoritarian collectivism at the expense of individual liberty.

Keep studying Senator Obama and Senator McCain. You can weigh their competing brands of big Federal government statism. It's appalling but it is what you have to choose from.

Wow! I think they don't like Obama

Pretty strong opinion piece.

Right here, these two just thrash Obama.

What shocks me is that people I know who are "conservative" or claim libertarian principles have mentioned "liking" or entertaining "voting for" Obama. Unless your plan is to give power to the socialist/collectivist party so Americans can be reminded of the Carter era malaise, that is just INSANE.

Obama is the most liberal/socialist/collectivist member of Congress bar none. He wouldn't know the Constitution if it hit him upside his head. That makes it even MORE amazing that his brand of content free charisma can sway those who wouldn't ever consider a marxist candidate such as he.

What do YOU think?

More on Oil

Seems everyone is a little oil mad these days. We are getting a lot of submissions from subscribers with interesting thoughts and data about our current oil situation.

Of course it is better if you join us instead of just submitting to us.

From a subscriber
Interesting breakdown on the big bad American oil companies… ( ouch, somebody is pinching my wallet… I wonder who it could be! ;) I noted that Gov Ritter said last week that he was going to act to protect Coloradans by NOT allowing development of the massive shale oil reserves.

"Big Oil"

I hadn't realized, until the hearings on energy that were held this week in House and Senate committees, that the United States doesn't have any big oil companies. It's true: the largest American oil company, Exxon Mobil, is only the 14th largest in the world, and is dwarfed by the really big oil companies--all owned by foreign governments or government-sponsored monopolies--that dominate the world's oil supply.

This graph tells the story; you can barely see the American oil companies as minor players on the right side of the chart. The chart was presented to the House committee by Chevron; click to enlarge:

With 94% of the world's oil supply locked up by foreign governments, most of which are hostile to the United States, the relatively puny American oil companies do not have access to enough crude oil to significantly affect the market and help bring prices down. Thus, Exxon Mobil, a small oil company, buys 90% of the crude oil that it refines for the U.S. market from the big players, i.e, mostly-hostile foreign governments. The price at the U.S. pump is rising because the price the big oil companies charge Exxon Mobil and the other small American companies for crude oil is going up.

This is obviously a tough situation for the American consumer. The irony is that it doesn't have to be that way. The United States--unlike, say, France--actually has vast petroleum reserves. It would be possible for American oil companies to develop those reserves, play a far bigger role in international markets, and deliver gas at the pump to American consumers at a much lower price, while creating many thousands of jobs for Americans. This would be infinitely preferable to shipping endless billions of dollars to Saudi Arabia, Russia and Venezuela.

So, why doesn't it happen? Because the Democratic Party--aided, sadly, by a handful of Republicans--deliberately keeps gas prices high and our domestic oil companies small by putting most of our reserves off limits to development. China is now drilling in the Caribbean, but our own companies are barred by law from developing large oil fields off the coasts of Florida and California. Enormous shale oil deposits in the Rocky Mountain states could go a long way toward supplying American consumers' needs, but the Democratic Congress won't allow those resources to be developed. ANWR contains vast petroleum reserves, but we don't know how vast, because Congress, not wanting the American people to know how badly its policies are hurting our economy, has made it illegal to explore and map those reserves, let alone develop them.

In short, all Americans are paying a terrible price for the Democratic Party's perverse energy policies.

OPEC says...

Submitted by a subscriber. This is an illustration but a true one.

The OPEC minister will look you in the eyes and state:

"We are at war with you infidels. Have been since the embargo in the 1970s. You are so arrogant you haven't even recognized it. You have more missiles, bombs, and technology; so we are fighting with the best weapon we have and extracting on a net basis about $700 billion/year out of your economy. We will destroy you! Death to the infidels!

While I am here I would like to thank you for the following:
Not developing your 250-300 year supply of oil shale and tarsands. we know if you did this, it would create millions of jobs for US citizens, expand your engineering capabilities, and keep the wealth in the US instead of sending it to us to finance our war against you bastards.

Thanks for limiting defense dept. purchases of oilsands from your neighbors to the north. We love it when you confuse your allies.

Thanks for over regulating every segment of your economy and thus delaying, by decades, the development of alternate fuel technologies.

Thanks for limiting drilling off your coasts, in Alaska, and anywhere there is a bug, bird, fish, or plant that might be inconvenienced. Better that your people suffer! Glad to see our lobbying efforts have been so effective.

Corn based Ethanol. Praise Allah for this sham program! Perhaps you will destroy yourself from the inside with theses types of policies. This is a gift from Allah, praise his name! We never would have thought of this one! This is better than when you pay your farmers NOT TO GROW FOOD. Have them use more energy to create less energy, and simultaneously drive food prices through the roof.

Thank you US Congress!!!!

And finally, we appreciate you letting us fleece you without end. You will be glad to know we have been accumulating shares in your banks, real estate, and publicly held companies. We also finance a good portion of your debt and now manipulate your markets, currency, and economies to our benefit.

Immigration - A Powerful Statement

This letter makes as cogent a presentation about illegal immigration as can be. You certainly won't see the media point out such facts.

Confirmed by ( )
Dear Senator Frist:

is a huge amount of propaganda and myths circulating about illegal
aliens, particularly illegal Mexican, Salvadorian, Guatemalan and
Honduran aliens.

1. Illegal aliens generally do NOT want U.S. citizenship. Americans
are very vain thinking that everybody in the world wants to be a U.S.
citizen. Mexicans, and other nationalities want to remain citizens of
their home countries while obtaining the benefits offered by the United
States such as employment, medical care, in-state tuition, government
subsidized housing and free education for their offspring. Their main
attraction is employment and their loyalty usually remains at home.
They want benefits earned and subsidized by middle class Americans.
What illegal aliens want are benefits of American residence without
paying the price.

2. There are no jobs that Americans won't do. Illegal aliens are
doing jobs that Americans can't take and still support their families.
Illegal aliens take low wage jobs, live dozens in a single residence
home, share expenses and send money to their home country. There are no
jobs that Americans won't do for a decent wage.

3. Every person who illegally entered this nation left a home. They
are NOT homeless and they are NOT Americans. Some left jobs in their
home countries. They come to send money to their real home as evidenced
by the more than 20 billion dollars sent out of the country each year
by illegal aliens. These illegal aliens knowingly and willfully entered
this nation in violation of the law and therefore assumed the risk of
detection and deportation. Those who brought their alien children
assumed the responsibility and risk on behalf of their children.

4. Illegal aliens are NOT critical to the economy. Illegal aliens
constitute less than 5% of the workforce. However, they reduce wages
and benefits for lawful U.S. residents.

5. This is NOT an
immigrant nation. There are 280 million native born Americans. While it
is true that this nation was settled and founded by immigrants (legal
immigrants), it is also true that there is not a nation on this planet
that was not settled by immigrants at one time or another.

6. The United States is welcoming to legal immigrants. Illegal
aliens are not immigrants by definition. The U.S. accepts more lawful
immigrants every year than the rest of the world combined.

There is no such thing as the "Hispanic vote". Hispanics are white,
brown, black and every shade in between. Hispanics are Repu blicans,
Democrats, Anarchists, Communists, Marxists and Independents. The
so-called "Hispanic vote" is a myth. Pandering to illegal aliens to get
the Hispanic vote is a dead end.

8. Mexico is NOT a friend of the United States. Since 1848 Mexicans
have resented the United States. During World War I Mexico allowed
German Spies to operate freely in Mexico to spy on the U.S. During
World War II Mexico allowed the Axis powers to spy on the U.S. from
Mexico. During the Cold War Mexico allowed spies hostile to the U.S. to
operate freely. The attack on the Twin Towers in 2001 was cheered and
applauded all across Mexico. Today Mexican school children are taught
that the U.S. stole California, Arizona, new Mexico and Texas. If you
don't believe it, check out some Mexican textbooks written for their

9. Although some illegal aliens enter this country for a better
life, there are 6 billion people on this planet. At least 1 billion of
those live on less than one dollar a day. If wanting a better life is a
valid excuse to break the law and sneak into America, then let's allow
those one billion to come to America and we'll turn the USA into a
Third World nation overnight. Besides, there are 280 million native
born Americans who want a better life. I'll bet Bill Gates and Donald
Trump want a better life. When will the USA lifeboat be full? Since
when is wanting a better life a good reason to trash another nation?

10. There is a labor shortage in this country. This is a lie. There
are hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of American housewives,
senior citizens, students, unemployed and underemployed who would
gladly take jobs at a decent wage.

11. It is racist to want secure borders. What is racist about
wanting secure borders and a secure America? What is racist about not
wanting people to sneak into America and steal benefits we have set
aside for legal aliens, senior citizens, children and other legal
residents? What is it about race that entitles people to violate our
laws, steal identities, and take the American Dream without paying the

For about four decades American politicians have refused to secure
our borders and look after the welfare of middle class Americans. These
politicians have been of both parties. A huge debt to American society
has resulted. This debt will be satisfied and the interest will be
high. There has already been riots in the streets by illegal aliens and
their supporters. There will be more. You, as a politician, have a
choice to offend the illegal aliens who have stolen into this country
and demanded the rights afforded to U.S. citizens or to offend those of
us who are stakeholders in this country. The interest will be steep
either way. There will be civil unrest. There will be a reckoning. Do
you have the courage to do what is right for America? Or, will you bow
to the wants and needs of those who don't even have the right to remain

There will be a reckoning. It will come in November of this year, again in 2008 and yet again in 2010.

We will not allow America to be stolen by third world agitators and thieves.

But will anyone care?

This excellent article is worth thorough reading. Charles is a bit "neo" for me but he is right on here. Pick Up Where Communists Left Off::By Charles Krauthammer

The problem isn't just recognizing what Krauthammer points out but getting the mass of people to recognize it and the truth of it.

"Conservative" and "Neo-con" pundits spend a lot of time preaching to the choir. We'll have to figure out a way to get the messages that make sense out to the garden variety mall crawling TV junkie.
