Hey you militant secularists

Yes, you guys who imagine the first ammendment to prohibit religion in public forums and venues, governmental offices and activities. The first ammendment provides for freedom OF religion, not freedom FROM religion.

As a proof that faith is part of our cultural and governmental heritage, check this headline:

All 50 Governors Issue National Day of Prayer Proclamations

As you wallow in your fevered imaginings just remember, people of faith don't want to "force" you to believe (excepting some murderous muslims perhaps) anything. They, in many faith traditions, are instructed to try to evangelize others. Sharing faith isn't "forcing" anything. Most people of faith don't "hate" secularists and humanists, they feel sadness and compassion for them.

Participate in the National Day of Prayer on May 1st 2008 where ever you may live.

California - 1850

Do you know what happened this week back in 1850, 158 years ago?

1. California became a state.
2. The state had no electricity.
3. The state had no money.
4. Almost everyone spoke Spanish.
5. There were gunfights in the streets.

So basically, it was just like California is today, except the womenhad real parts and the men didn't hold hands.

So what are the Aztlan nutjobs complaining about?

Never Quit

I've always subscribed to the philosophy that quitters never win and winners never quit. That certainly doesn't explain the Libertarian Party though. They never quit but don't win much of anything. Most libertarians don't belong to the LP however. Most continue to vote republicrat or demoncrat, sometimes varying by election. Of course yapping heads and the media are unable to distinguish between Libertarians (LP Members) and libertarians (limited government, constitutionalist, classical liberals).

This article is a good look at the LP and who is considering running for them. Does it also forecast hope for their party? Are people tired enough of statist big government unconstitutional politicians *ruling* us? I'm not in the LP but they are as much or more woth a look as the donkeys and elephants are.

"Progressive" example of "Tolerance"

Collectivists and their sheople mean "tolerate" what they allow and dictate.

Here is a good example. I'm glad Newsbusters is watching these weenies so we can too.

Freedom is anathema to the PC police and collectivist elites. Truth is "Hate" to those who hate the truth.

Letter to Governor Perry - Use it!

Below is a letter, courtesy of one of our Editors, that we suggest all readers and contributors send to Governor Rick Perry of Texas. It outlines the outrageous raid in Texas on the polygamast compound and the siezure of 400+ Children by the State.

Dear Governor:

Greetings. I respectfully protest the mass arrest of the children of the polygamist Mormon offshoot church in the recent raid. Their Constitutional and common-law protections against illegal search and seizure have been violated, the children traumatized, and the parents made to suffer, without cause. Unsubstantiated allegations made by phone are not cause for gross use of force in a civilized, Christian society. After Waco, I would have thought that this lesson would have been learned.

I cannot in good concience support a state that assaults the Constitution I swore an oath, upon entering the Armed Forces, to defend. It is admittedly a small matter, my protest, but I will discharge the duty of my conscience by refusing to do business with Texas companies, to hold investments in Texas headquartered companies, to travel there (my last visit was last October), and by encouraging my friends to do the same, via the internet. I call on you, by your oath to the Constitution of your own State, to step in and use whatever means are necessary to restore these children to their patents, and to fire the responsible parties.

Makes Ya Think

Or it should....

"Never appeal to a man's better nature, he may not have one. Invoking his self interest gives you more leverage" Robert Heinlein

"Let's not confuse a free and tolerant society with one with no moral underpinnings. Those moral underpinnings make it all possible" Star Parker

"I cannot find any authority in the Constitution for public charity, adding that to approve such spending would be contrary to the letter and the spirit of the Constitution and subversive to the whole theory upon which the Union of these States is founded" Franklin Pierce

"I feel obliged to withhold my approval of the plan to indulge in benevolent and charitable sentiment through the appropriation of public funds. I find no warrant for such an appropriation in the Constitution" Grover Cleveland

"We have the right, as individuals, to give away as much of our own money as we please in charity, but as members of Congress, we have no right to appropriate a dollar of the public money" David Crockett

"Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of liberty" Thomas Jefferson

Why do people love this guy?

He inspires breathless excitement. Why?

Here is one reason, the Media

Take a look at his voting record. Take a look at his collectivist proposals? Do you want a Stalin like Clinton or would you like your leftist authoritarism in a sweeter wrapper. To bring folks together shouldn't have the political viewpoint of more than 15% of the people?

Here is more

For Thinking folks

"To see what is right, and not do it, is want of courage, or of principle" Confucius

"I agree with you that there is a natural aristocracy among men. The grounds of this are virtue and talent" Thomas Jefferson 1813 letter to John Adams

"It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians" Patrick Henry

"Industry, thrift and self-control are not sought because they create wealth, but because they create character." Calvin Coolidge

"Every thinking man, when he thinks, realizes that the teachings of the Bible are so interwoven and entwined with our whole civic and social life that it would be literally impossible for us to figure ourselves what that life would be if these standards were removed. We would lose almost all the standards by which we now judge both public and private morals; all the standards which we, with more or less resolution, strive to raise ourselves" Theodore Roosevelt

My Pastor Says - Visit Them

Rev. Wright’s Profane Condemnation of America was Appalling

If you -- like most Americans -- were appalled by Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s profane words, you can make a personal statement to your friends and neighbors with one of these bumper stickers from www.MyPastorSays.com.

GOD has Truly “Blessed” America from its Beginnings.

Even though we are not perfect, we firmly believe that as a nation and as individuals, we are freer, more secure, more tolerant, more merciful and more helpful than any other nation.

Unlike Some People, We Can’t Sit By and Listen to America being Trashed.
When we hear that people and politicians would sit and listen to such profanity week–in and week-out for years and years, we are saddened that they would not stand up to the one who would utter such hateful and hurtful epithets.

Though we do not hate those who, like Rev. Wright, would seek to tear our nation apart, we disagree with them and we will stand against that message of racial divisiveness and bigoted hate.

We Hope You Too Will Stand Against Such Statements.

Regardless of your faith, we all can agree that GOD has “Blessed” and continues to “Bless” America. Depending upon your faith, you can display a bumper sticker that says “MY Pastor Says” “MY Minister Says” “MY Priest Says” or “MY Rabbi Says” that GOD has “Blessed” America.

Check us out at www.MyPastorSays.com. We will mail a bumper sticker with the clergy of your choice to you for just Three Dollars ($3.00) each. We will pay the shipping costs. Need more? Check our website for quantity discount pricing.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!
